In the realm of professional writers one always writes an “About” section in the third person. It allows one to boast of their accomplishments as though someone else where the one writing it. I grew up in community and professional Theatres and have written a number of “Bios.” Their purpose serves to list accomplishments and tell you how Awesome you are.
So, who am I? I am Bryce Elliott. Here are some fun facts:
- I didnt Graduate High School on time and It took me 8 years to get my Bachelors Degree (totally worth it!)
- I am working on my Masters in Biblical Studies
- I name inanimate objects:
- Eleanor – My Guitar
- Heather Pryde – My Laptop (she’s a HP)
- Imogene – My Desktop
- Beatrice – My Blackberry
- Junior – My car
- Christy – My Cannon Camera
- I am more sensitive than my appearance and demeanor give away
- I am a delinquent Genius
- I was licensed at one time to store, ignite and purchase Class A explosive pyrotechnics
- I am actually an introvert. I love time to myself to write, process, enjoy a cigar on my roof overlooking Seattle. Though, I have learned I need people and love people.
- I have struggled with my faith, my beliefs and addictions. Yet, through it all God is teaching me daily that He alone is God and my life in him brings greater joy, satisfaction and fulfillment than a life lived by the worlds standards.
- My greatest desires are two-fold:
- To teach theology and challenge people to think critically about their faith, life and what they do/believe
- To Challenge men to step up and live lives called as ones who bear the name of “A Man of God” If I could be a Men’s Ministries Pastor and Teach theology, I’d be in euphoria!
- To know Bryce (me), is to know my stories. We all are shaped by our lives and the events in our lives. Those events for me come out as Stories and shed light on who I am. They help you to understand my past, my hurts, my fears, my joys, my loves, and my sense of humor.
